A Legacy of Loyalty — Honoring Laars by Supporting His Hero, Will
Laars was one of those dogs. A once-in-a-lifetime service companion whose loyalty, courage, and devotion became a lifeline to his handler, Will, a U.S. Veteran whose strength and heart inspired everyone who met them both. Laars’ passing left a hole that can never truly be filled… but his legacy lives on through Aohdan, the young service dog now being trained to continue his work and carry forward the bond they shared. Training, raising, and traveling with a service dog is a journey of tremendous dedication and expense. Between nutrition, specialized training, and travel for public access and environmental exposure, the cost can easily exceed $30,000 — but the reward is priceless: independence, healing, and hope restored.  Blue Ridge Lane has donated Aohdan and now we need all of you to do your part in any way big or small that you can.
We’re asking you to help Will, the man who gave Laars his purpose and now continues his mission with Aohdan by his side. Your kindness, no matter the size, goes directly to helping Will cover the immense expenses of raising, training, and traveling with his new service dog — ensuring that Laars’ legacy continues to make a difference, one pawprint at a time. If Laars’ story and Will’s courage have touched your heart, please consider donating directly to Will. Your support helps keep a hero on his feet, and a service dog by his side.  Together, we can continue the mission that started with Laars — a mission of love, loyalty, and unbreakable bond between human and dog.  Donate directly to Will & Aohdan by clicking here.
Join the journey, following their EPIC adventures & milestones on Instagram @
w_wendelman and he is also a contributor on our Blue Ridge Lane Facebook Page. Will is a talented photographer and cinematographer that captures it all!
Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for making this possible!

Our Fall 2024 Service Puppy Recipient Tyler!

We want to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Tyler & Angie, recipients of our Service Puppy Giveway!!!!
Tyler lost his service dog & best friend in February 2024. We are so excited for he and his mother Angie to begin a new chapter with one of our beloved service pups! They have named him Captain Jax Thunderstorm Treadway, and he has some big paws to fill. Angie is a full time Caregiver to her son Tyler, so we are reaching out to anyone that would be able to transport their new boy to them in Canton, NC. They will be ready anytime two weeks from now. If you are able to assist,  submit a puppy request form and in the message box put helping Tyler. I am sure Angie will comment on this post as well and you can also directly message her. Thank you to all!
