At Blue Ridge Lane German Shepherds, our incredible pups truly lead the best lives, and we can’t wait for you to become part of our family! We currently have a small selection of fantastic AKC and European males and females who are ready to find their forever homes.
Why Choose Our Puppies?
We take pride in specializing in puppies that are already started in training, making your transition to puppy parenthood as smooth as possible. Each puppy has received a minimum of two rounds of vaccinations, been dewormed, microchipped, and is approximately 90% house and crate trained. Plus, our puppies are not only well-socialized but have also enjoyed plenty of adventures, having been worked off-leash in various environments.

We are currently accepting reservations for upcoming litters, and you don’t need to make a deposit to secure your spot. This allows you the flexibility to plan ahead without any immediate financial commitment.

Specialization in Older Puppies
We specialize in older, started puppies that are available for adoption starting at 9 to 12+ weeks of age. This age range is crucial for their development. Starting at 8 weeks, puppies undergo a fear impact period—an important developmental phase. During this delicate time, the transition to a new environment can significantly shape their personalities.
Importance of Proper Vaccination and Socialization
At 8 weeks, our puppies receive their first two vaccinations. It’s important to note that they are still in a fragile state and should be confined to a safe home or yard, avoiding exposure to other pets until they receive additional vaccinations over the following 30 to 40 days. Based on decades of experience, we’ve found that adopting a puppy at 9 weeks or older—with all necessary vaccinations and deworming—ensures they are confident, ready to explore the world, and able to join you in various outings without worry.
Exceptional Socialization and TrainingEach German Shepherd puppy we offer is individually bred to become an excellent family companion and a responsible member of society. They are exposed to a variety of experiences on our farm, where they joyfully follow our two young sons and happily engage in activities like swimming and fetch. Most importantly, we prioritize training in public settings, taking our older puppies and young adults to places like Lowe’s, PetSmart, and Home Depot. This exposure helps them meet new faces and animals, while learning proper greeting and behavior skills.
Ongoing Support and GuidanceOnce you welcome a puppy into your home, our commitment doesn't end there. We are always available for guidance, training, and private boarding throughout the life of your dog. Your confidence in this journey is paramount to us.
