Puppy Purchase Information 2018
We are excited that you are thinking about purchasing one of our amazing German Shepherd pups! It is a huge commitment that should not be taken lightly, as these pups will be family members for years to come. Shepherds bond quickly, are highly trainable and require someone who is willing to give them plenty of love with lots of play time. Our pups are handled daily from the moment they are born. We expose them to everything from chickens, horses, vacuum cleaners, cats, small dogs, small children so they are very confident and happy pups when they leave Blue Ridge Lane at 8 weeks. Our puppies are also 90% potty trained at 8 weeks to go outside not on paper. Picking out Your New Puppy
When choosing a pup they all look alike, and have few identifying markings until 2 weeks. Eyes open at 12-14 days and ears open at 18-21 days. We always have several clients on a waiting list that missed out on the previous litter. All puppy purchases are based on a first come first served basis. Waiting list clients are notified prior to everyone else, and set up the in person pick out appointment. No deposits prior to Pick out. The puppy will not be held until a completed reservation form is received. For the puppy pick out & go home, we accept cash or major credit cards listed on our website. In addition to purchase price puppies incur a 5.3% Virginia State Sales Tax. If Paying with a Credit Card there is a 3.6% processing fee to total.

Prices-The price depends on which bitch you are purchasing from. Every buyer has the right to have a Pre-Purchase Exam by any local board certified veterinarian. Puppies are dewormed at 2-4-6-8 weeks. They will need multiple boosters of both after you bring them home. Older started puppies & young adults also available.
AKC Registration-Upon leaving Blue Ridge Lane, puppies whelped in the USA will be sent home with their puppy AKC registration form under "Limited" status. We do not sell our puppies for breeding purposes. ALL Young Adult dogs are sold as companion animals only.
Transport for your pup
We only sell puppies in person. Our Local airports are: Dulles (IAD) or Reagan airports in Arlington, Virginia. We do not ship our puppies on their own, you must come in person and pick them up.
If you are having your puppy shipped with you on your way home via airline, additional items are required for your pup. Your puppy will need to be sent off in a medium crate $65, water/food bowls $15, medium harness $20, bag of food dry & cans for travel $20. You are welcome to purchase all of these items ahead of time and have them shipped to us one week prior to your puppy being transported. If we need to go purchase items there is a $25 fee.
If shipping by air you will also need a USDA health certificate and additional immunizations. You pay the vet directly. There will be a $50 charge to bring your puppy to the vet. There is a $90 transport charge to the airport as it is 1.5 hours away.
